Assignment 1: Individual SWOT Analysis and SMART Plan
The purpose of this assignment is to provide you the opportunity to evaluate your leadership skills and abilities through reflection on the results of your EQ-i 2.0 Leadership Report. You will use your assessment results as a primary tool in analyzing your leadership qualities through a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) Analysis. Using your analysis, you will then develop an action plan for your personal leadership development.
All writing assignments, unless otherwise approved by the instructor, are expected to follow the Journal of the American Medical Association Manual of Style (JAMA). The updated reference manual can be found here: https://www.jamamanualofstyle.com/ (Links to an external site.). The paper’s length should be a minimum of 6 pages, but no longer than 10 pages (not including the title page, references, or any appendices). You should include the following elements:
Overview of your EQ-i 2.0 results, including initial reaction to your results as well as your overall impression of the assessment.
An individual SWOT Analysis of your EI abilities and your potential for leadership growth. In addition to your overall analysis, use page 6 in your EQ-i 2.0 Leadership Report to analyze your strengths and weaknesses with regard to the four general leadership competencies (authenticity, coaching, insight, and innovation)
Your SMART Action Plan, including 3-5 SMART goals. Include these goals as a table with the following column headings (use page 23 in your Leadership Report as a guide to create this table):
