Part 2 Discussion: Diverse and Dynamic Family Structures There are a wide variety of family structures and the diversity of families has increased greatly in America in the past 50 years. Fewer children come from a nuclear family, which was once considered the traditional family structure. In addition to being diverse, families in America are dynamic. It is not uncommon for children to experience several changes in their family structures during their childhood. Share a personal or professional example of a diverse and dynamic family you have interacted with over a period of time. Please be careful to maintain the privacy of any family you are describing by using a fictitious name (i.e., the Doe family, Family A, etc.). Please describe the structure of the family and how it changed over time and the impact it had on each family member. In what ways was the family diverse and dynamic? Socio-cultural factors affect the thoughts, behaviors, and feelings of families that you work within early childhood. Using the family you described, how might economic factors affect the family decision making? Part3 Early Childhood Policy Early childhood professionals and administrators need to understand the current policy in the field. In this discussion, you will explore policy that impacts the field and learn how to take a stand to advocate for this policy. Choose one public policy advocacy topic from the NAEYC reading in this unit (https://www.naeyc.org/our-work/public-policy-advocacy). In 3–5 sentences, develop a proposed policy for your state that you would like to advocate for, beginning in your community. Why is this policy needed and what is its significance to you as an early childhood educator/administrator? What are your ideas to advocate for this policy over time to ensure high-quality early education? part4 Please respond to the following: Compare one specific behavioral intervention (ABA, PRT, PBI, etc.) and one social-based intervention (Peer Training, social narratives, Joint Attention Intervention, Pivotal Response Training, and Video Modeling) used in the treatment of children with ASD. Illustrate how the behavioral and social-based interventions you compared can be used in conjunction with each other to target skill development. Overall, how do the behavioral and social-based interventions discussed in this course align with the learning styles of children with ASD?
